Charles elliott is a well known native artist who has made a study of salish style designs in b.c. And washington state for the past fifteen years. It took him approximately 3 weeks to complete this salish style moon mask with animal spirit motifs which he has carved from locally grown alder. The animal spirits travelling in perpetual motion with the tail on each creature becoming the tongue of the one following symbolise both the 4 seasons of the year and the cycle of life.
