Visual Description :
Chilkat Northwest Coast wooden bent box. The exterior of the box has been painted with First Nations designs, similar in appearance to those found on Haida totem poles. The designs are painted in red and black and opposite sides of the box contain the same design. The lid of the box has been ornamented with white operculum shells and red paint.
