In this drawing,
Bayne provides details laid out in five vertical bands, each of
which is labelled on the right side of the detail. 1. The first
detail, on the far left, shows a pink background with a gray figure
and a canopy rendered in blue and brown. The figure is identified
as "Mastra/Osmond." The inscription to the right reads,
"+Light on N. side of Choir. Clerestory. S. Osmond. Dec. 4.
Bp." 2. This detail shows the BVM with Child against a red
background. The BVM is shown with a gray halo, gold crown, and tan
and gray robe. The Childs garments are green. The inscription
to the right reads, "+Light on same side and same size."
3. Two details, one above the other are in the centre band of the
drawing. The upper detail shows a canopy with red, gold, blue and
black colours. The letters surrounding the mitre are "S P/O
L A" (to left) "I O/ U S" (to right). The inscription
to the right reads, "+r. canopy." In the lower detail
is a figure in rust robe and with a gray-green nimbus. The inscription
to the right reads, "+15th cent. Head in Triforium."
4. In this detail, Bayne shows the BVM with Child. The colours of
the clothing are similar to that in detail #2, but the background
is blue-violet. The nimbus of the BVM is rust, and she carries a
sceptre. The inscription on the right reads, "+Light on S.
side as others___. +Seés Glass in Choir/ Oct. 11.64."
5. This detail shows St. Peter holding a key. The background is
blue and his garments are green, rust and red on tan. The nimbus
is red, as is the background of the gold canopy. The inscription
to the right reads, "+Light on S. side."
